I have space available to board another horse along with a nice, pretty mare who is here.
I have 4 acres of good pasture that has numerous trees and several small ponds on it. In addition, I have 2 acres of fenced slough grass along with the pasture. In the fall, I open another fenced 2 acres of slough and the horses love that lush slough grass. My barn is a steel, 3 sided, roofed, run-in barn with the open end facing south so that the winter sun shines in it. Horses are protected from the west and north winter winds. My fencing is mostly braided wire and board fencing along with an adjacent neighbor's shared barb wire fence. I have good, round hay bales, that are sheltered in the barn and are available to horses 24 hours a day ... in addition, I grain the horses two times / day. I have been told that I should/could charge much more for boarding ... but, I just want to have horses present and enjoy them rather than make money. Boarding includes hay and grain.
