Hi — I’m a longtime metal-detecting hobbyist (50+ years). I enjoy finding lost coins, rings, keys, jewelry, property stakes and small pieces of local history — it’s something I do for fun, not a business. I’m neat, polite, and do low‑impact searching (minimal digging, tidy clean backfills).
IF YOU HAVE LOST {or buried} SOMETHING {JEWELRY, KEYS OR ANYTHING METAL AND YOU HAVE A GENERAL IDEA WHERE YOU LOST IT, I CAN FIND IT.
Or if you just want to see what has been lost, hidden or buried on your older property over the years {and there is cool stuff in the ground on EVERYBODIES older properties.
I am located in Northern Minnesota but will travel anywhere in the country to do this.
Places I’m interested in...
Older homes/properties, prefer pre-1960 {the older the better}
Former schools, churches, community halls, dance halls
Parks, playgrounds, fairgrounds, picnic areas
Old bars/saloons, taverns, roadside rest stops
Swimming holes, riverbanks, bridge approaches, ford/crossing sites
Wishing wells, bandstands, ballfields, carnival grounds
Unsearched yards, lots, and places where people gathered or passed through frequently.
What I do / terms...
I always ask permission before searching
I return {for free} personal items like rings, keys, sentimental jewelry or anything specifically asked for.
I like to keep the coins I find; for any particularly valuable item I’ll offer a fair split of the sale value with the owner
No pressure — happy to meet, discuss, and agree terms up front
If interested, reply with location (city/neighborhood), short history of the site, and best contact time. I’ll get back with availability and any questions.
