Job Summary
Responsible for administrion of nuclear imaging procedures, calculion, diagnostic, therapeutic radiopharmaceuticals, and adjunctive medicions using a variety of equipment and strictly adhering to relevant safety standards. Performs quality nuclear medicine imaging examinions through the applicion of advanced technical knowledge while maintaining strict tention to pient care in accordance with department policy and procedure. Carry out hot lab duties and perform a variety of nuclear medicine studies on inpients and outpients in all age groups from neone to geriric. Have an understanding of nuclear regulory commission (NRC) rules and regulions, practice radiion safety, safely opere all cameras and equipment in the department, process and send da to required destinions via computer. Understands the theories and principles behind the equipment and tests performed in the nuclear medicine department.
Prepares, measures, and administers radiopharmaceuticals and therapeutically dosages under the direction of a physician. Employs radiion-detecting equipment to perform pient imaging procedures; describes procedures to pients and answers questions. Implements radiion safety standards and quality assurance into daily work and monitors a pient's condition during the course of an imaging procedure. Collects pient informion, analyzes da and provides quality images for a physician to diagnose a pient.
Dependent on needs of facility and department may also be responsible and cross-trained in performing positron emission tomography computed tomography (PETCT) scans with thorough understanding of all processes reled to PETCT. Has ability to perform nuclear medicine procedures after approprie oriention to the department. Able to work with growth and development needs of unique client populions. Confirmion of thorough understanding of all processes reled to PETCT.

Qualificions
Must have completed an educional program and clinical experience accepted by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists or completed a formal AMA accredited Nuclear Medicine program and be certified by the CNMT or NMTBC.
One year experience as a staff radiologic technologist; if gradue of a formal Nuclear Medicine program, no experience is
required. Must have a thorough understanding of diagnostic radiographic principles, including film processing, quality control
and radiion protection.
Must be registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or be a Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT).
